Axford Senior Marketing began in 1973 when Doug Axford started his career as a life insurance agent in northeast Nebraska. What began with hard work, long days, and a commitment to doing right by every family he met grew into a respected agency focused on serving the senior market and supporting agents across the Midwest.

As the business expanded, Doug founded Axford Agency and became a leader in long‑term care solutions. In 2000, Doug’s son Clint joined the company, helping broaden its offerings to include health, life, and annuities. Together, they transformed the agency into what is now Axford Senior Marketing—an independent, family‑owned national marketing organization.

Today, Axford Senior Marketing supports thousands of agents and agencies nationwide, providing the tools, carrier partnerships, and personal guidance they need to serve their clients with confidence. While our reach is national, our roots remain firmly in Nebraska, where we continue to serve the insurance needs of families in our local community.

Doug Axford
Doug has spent more than five decades shaping what Axford Senior Marketing is today. Known for his practical insight and steady leadership, he played a key role in growing the company from a small, family‑run operation into a trusted name in the industry. His experience continues to guide the team, even as he steps back from daily operations. Doug brings a unique blend of humor, perspective, and heart to every conversation. And when he stops by the office, he never arrives empty‑handed—often bringing snacks, stories, and his dogs along with him.

Kim Harrington
Kim Harrington joined Axford Senior Marketing, Inc. in 2015. She has a Banking and Finance Degree and extensive work experience in Banking, Legal, Insurance and Finance. Kim’s current responsibility at Axford Senior Marketing is Office Manager, which includes the business bookkeeping, licensing and compliance. Kim enjoys the variety of working in all aspects of the business. Kim has two grown children and two grandchildren.

LeeAnn joined the ASM team in 2025, and as an Agent Success Marketer, she works with agents one‑on‑one to help them grow, problem‑solve, and feel supported. Her focus is on building real relationships, understanding each agent’s individual needs, and providing personalized marketing guidance and resources. LeeAnn strives to be approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping agents succeed.

​As Vice President of Axford Senior Marketing, Clint works closely with agents, agencies, and financial professionals to support their growth and help them achieve their business goals. He began his career in 2000 as an agent specializing in long‑term care solutions and went on to develop a regional Midwest agency focused on insurance and retirement planning. Clint takes pride in building strong, honest, and professional relationships—whether he’s working with an agent or serving a client. A Nebraska native, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their two sons, Sam and Eli. His favorite pastimes include attending his boys’ activities, spending time outdoors, and going fishing.

Since joining ASM in 2015, Sassy has focused on building meaningful relationships with agents and helping them grow their business through innovative marketing ideas and strong product expertise. She became licensed in 2018 and discovered a genuine passion for the industry, seeing each client scenario as a unique puzzle that can be solved with the right combination of products. Dedication to personal guidance and one‑on‑one support continues to define her approach today.

Haylee joined Axford Senior Marketing in 2023 and serves as an Administrative Assistant, supporting agents with new business processing and day‑to‑day service needs. She brings strong organizational skills and a detail‑focused approach to help agents stay on track and ensure applications move smoothly from start to finish. Creating structure, solving problems, and making each agent’s experience as simple and stress‑free as possible motivates her every day.

Heather joined Axford Senior Marketing in 2024, bringing over twenty-five years of experience in retirement and insurance planning. Specializing in financial security for seniors, she is known for her precision, integrity, and a genuine passion for simplifying the complexities of long-term planning. Heather holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designations, and she received her insurance license in 2009. Her mission is to build lasting relationships while helping clients achieve their immediate and future goals with confidence. Outside the office, Heather treasures time spent with her husband, Clint, and their two sons, Sam and Eli. Whether she's at a game or a school event, she is always their biggest fan, spending her free time in the stands cheering them on.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their fur babies, who bring so much joy to her life.
